The Somali Journal of Educational Research is a peer-reviewed academic journal published at Metropolitan University of Somalia’s center for research. The journal covers topics of educational research . The editor-in-chief is Professor Ahmednur Sh. Ali and Dr. Saeed Aden is the co-editor.
Our mission is to improve the quality of education in Somalia through the dissemination of evidence-based, peer-reviewed research among the Somali educators, stakeholders and the internal community.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION
SJER is a peer-reviewed journal that follows publishing standards governed by integrity and excellence. Our mission is to promote excellence in Somali educational research through the dissemination of evidence-based, peer-reviewed and original research, discussion of relevant issues facing the Somali educational system.
All manuscripts are subject to double-blind peer review. All accepted research articles undergo rigorous editing and review processes including , reference checking, accuracy, and line editing. Authors must agree agree to work on the manuscript with the editorial staff.
COVER LETTER. Authors should submit a cover letter with their manuscript.
REVIEW PROCESS. SJER uses double-blind peer review to consider manuscripts. Both the accuracy of the content and references are checked.
AMERICAN PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION (APA). SJER will accept only manuscripts prepared in the format specified by the American Psychological Association (APA; www.apastyle.org).
